Couch to 5K
Our couch to 5k program is designed to help you get off the couch, start running and get fitter.
One of the biggest hurdles we have seen for new runners is not knowing how, or where, to start. It can be daunting, and running alone can be just as hard. That's why we have adopted our tried and tested couch to 5K program, which we run a few times a year. Each course lasts for 8 weeks and will guide you to becoming fitter, healthier and running by the end of 8 weeks surrounded by like minded people, culminating in a graduation 5k run at Telford Park Run.
The programme is designed for beginners to gradually build up their running ability so they can eventually run 5km without stopping. The pace of the 8-week running plan has been tried and tested by thousands of new runners so will be ideally suited to all. You can, however, repeat any one of the weeks until you feel physically ready to move on to the next week.
We have dedicated run leaders, skilled in running C25K programs to help and support you every step of the way, and our club runners will be there on your graduation day to cheer and support you around the 5k route.
