We welcome all runners at our club, no matter what running ability, to have a go at Cross Country!

XC races are incredibly fun and enjoyable, they provide a chance to run as part of a team and build on your strength and endurance.

We are one big family and encourage everyone to try it!

You will supported all of the way, and our regular runners are happy to share their experiences and tips.

It's also a great way to get to know other club members, with plenty of social opportunities (of course!).

Cross country races are held off-road and take place in the winter months. The courses can be flat, hilly or undulating on grass or muddy terrain. The same course can become very different as the weather and conditions underfoot change, but that's what makes it fun!

The cross country season typically runs from mid September to March. Many clubs are involved in the XC leagues that we compete in (NSCCL, MWCCL and BCCL). There are numerous open races where teams and individuals from our club can enter, these include relay events and the national XC championships.

The emphasis is on your own personal challenge. Come and have a go! Especially if you like mud, hills and water!

If you would like more information or would like to represent our amazing club, please speak to our XC representatives: Tania Willoughby and Melissa Williams.
